Calendars » ICRMA Workshops Thursday, August 28, 2008

ICRMA Compliance Workshops are conducted quarterly (two mirrored sessions per quarter) to offer geographically convenient training for all membership. The purpose of this interactive workshop is to give our membership the opportunity to spend a half day with our ICRMA Risk Control Manager and leave with a template of a written compliance program for the given topic and the skills to tailor that program to each member city's needs. Each attendee will leave with program basics that will address the current OSHA regulations. Sessions will be held at two locations:

  • Inland at the City of Baldwin Park located at 14403 East Pacific Avenue, Baldwin Park, CA 91706; and
  • Coastal at the Hawthorne Police Department located at 12501 S Hawthorne Blvd, Hawthorne, CA 90250. The following is the schedule of sessions for 2007/2008:

From time to time, as need dictates, the ICRMA Workers' Compensation Manager, Lynn Keller, conducts local workshops on best practices for controlling workers' compensation claims costs. The workshops are usually one half day and cover basics of good claim management including:

  • How to read a loss run, how to share statistical data effectively;
  • How to manage your TPA; and
  • Other tips and techniques to control claims costs.
